Well at first I thought the anime'd be borring, but then the end was really good.
now to your questions
1. He didn't exactly deserve to die, though the fact that he didn't tell kotonoha that their relationship was over in time did bother me, just like the fact that he didn't tell sekai he was with other girls, because if he would I think the anime would have a different ending.
2. Who to blame depends on the point of view i guess, because all were to blame for something, makoto for not telling the above mentioned two girls that he's seeing other girls, especially kotonoha who was so quiet and calm all the time and then she just snapped since it seemed to me that makoto and sekai were the only friends she had. He had it good, he just wasn't careful enough then sekai is also at fault for not acting sooner and bringing him and kotonoha together, there are so many little details that could make the anime develope in different ways that it's hard to say.
3. I like the ending, it was sorta refreshing, so I wouldn't change it
4. my lesson: the quiet ones are always the crazy ones lol just kidding. I didn't learn anything.

nah the ending was great, more or less the only good part of the anime imo

*Ten giant phantom bats come flying around the corner and destroy the fishing boat*

((Ok. I erased Walter from the scenery(even though he was just mentioned ). but Joachim as my favorite chara stays.

*Turns around cause Amaya isn't following him anymore and sees that she fell down, he flies to her and helps her stand up* "Are you alright? Er...I mean ahm...do be more careful ok. and er...never mind" *flies away still not understanding why he did what he did.*

Joachim: "Blood huh...I haven't eaten for a while now" *turns around and prepares for battle*

Joachim: "Very well" Joachim summons a Bone Dragon King to keep Amaya busy and flies past her.
Joachim: "Have fun" He smiles and flies away from her sight.

*Joachim dodges the attack*

*Joachim looks at Trevor who just ran past him*
Joachim: "Now that's interessting" *flies after him*

The Phantom Bat that was cut in half by Trevor breaks into two smaller bats which immediately attack him. At the same time a harpy goes and attacks Alucard who is busy fighting the Skull Knight.
While everyone is fighting Joachim notices Amaya who is about to send the children into another dimension. He sends a Cyclops into her direction to prevent her that, but the Cyclops was too late. So he is now standing there, getting ready to attack her.

The sky turns darker as Joachim comes flying to the village fallowed by phantom bats and harpies that immediately start to attack the village people killing them in an instant.
Joachim: "And now to have some fun"

Count Dracula is comfortably sitting on his throne doing nothing when Shaft enters the room
Shaft: "As you thought Warlock alone is not strong enough to defeat everyone, it is just a matter of time before he will also be defeated"
Count Dracula: "Describe me the situation."
*Shaft describes the situation in Warakiya to the count, mentioning all the heroes who are out there fighting.*
Count Dracula: "Tell Joachim to go to Warakiya and take care of all the things there. He can use everyone he wants as long as he wins."
Shaft: "Yes my lord."
*Shaft leaves the room*

Shaft was looking at the battlefield for a long time, most of the people were in the church and the zombies couldn't get to them because of the shield. He destroyed the shield and the door to the church so that the zombies who gathered around the church were once again able to enter it. The people were frightened and ran away to save their lives.

Shaft: "This isn't turning out that well, i better report this to the count."

((Well Warlock was there, that's why i took him. But you can have him back since you had him first. I'll just dodge this attack, then he's all yours.))

*Warlock dodges the attack. He knows he is outnumbered and that one of his opponents is the counts son so he shoots some fire balls back at Alucard and disappears into the night.*

Warlock flies after Trevor
Warlock: "Stop running and fight you coward"

After getting hit Warlock surrounds himself with demon tombstones and throws them into Trevors direction.

Warlock flies into the air so that he is on the same hight as Trevor then he shoots some fire balls into the belltower causing it to collapse.

*Surprised by the loud sound and the big blast of fire Warlock goes behind the church to see what the dragon is doing and there he sees Trevor who has just killed the dragon.*
Warlock: "You again? You won't be able to get away from me this time, prepare to die!" *Attacks Trevor*

*The child safely lands inside the church where all of his friends are happy to see him again and then they look outside the window worried for Trevor who is fighting the dragon*

The skeleton dragon that was destroying a nearby house notices Trevor and attacks him.

*the child loses his grip and starts falling down*

The children look at each other an nod but one of them is still looking around and can't find his best friend, then he looks through the window and sees his best friend hanging on from a wall about a hundred meters from the ground.
The child: "Please mister, you have to save my friend"

As the zombies slowly approach Trevor several bats come flying through the window and attack the children. The terrified children start screaming and because of all the screaming the girl lying near the door regains conscience and moves. the zombies notice her and attack her.

The zombies turn to Trevor and attack him, then more zombies come crawling through the door, standing up and attacking him from behind.
